Is there a difference? I have a red mango mousse and berry parfait receipe that calls for 4tb coconut butter but in my cupboard I have a jar of virgin oil de coco-creme? Want to make tonight. Thanks for any help.

Virgin Oil
De Coco-Creme
Coconut Butter
This brand, Virgin Oil De Coco-Creme, is by far the best brand of coconut oil (or coconut butter) we have found, having a fresh, mild coconutty flavor. Coconuts and coconut butter are going through a bit of a PR boom these days, with new books on the market lauding the coconut as a metabolism boosting secret ingredient for losing weight. Coconut butter is not only good for your insides - it's great on your skin as a lotion or to remove eye makeup. Further, because of its anti-microbial properties, it also works perfect for those situations in which you want something slippery.

Ladybug, if it's this same brand, than YES it is coconut butter/oil.
Same thing, it's just the brand name. I think this is the same kind
Alissa sells too. It's a really good one.

yeah it's the same, and you've got the good stuff too, according to most raw food stuff I've read. coconut oil and coconut butter are always the same.

thanks for the feed back. I went to my daughter's winter concert tonight so had to grab a spinach/tomatoe/avacodo/gingerroot soup. That's the good thing about raw, it is fast....
