I was watching Allissa's dvd and decided to make crackers. I soaked my flaxseed and just opened my dehydrator. No teflex sheets were included. Only mesh and the plastic tray holders. I know she mentioned that you could use saran wrap. Do I just cover the screens with it and put my flaxseed mix on that??? I know I should have opened the box sooner but was wrapping gifts and doing holiday stuff!!! :eek:

I've used parchment paper before, but never saran wrap. I just cut it to size and lay it in there! Good luck.

Saran wrap works. I've had to use it before as well in a pinch.

Didn't have parchment paper will give saran wrap a try. I really was hoping I could give kids these in morning with peanut butter and they might start off day with a good treat! Here's hoping

I do not use either but just put it on the mesh traws and it works great. It is so sticky that it does not fall through and I think it is faster without the parchment paper. Try some that way. It is alot less hastle

Well I just wasted 2 cups flaxseed. I set the temperture, used saran wrap, put it in at 6pm and it was still soggy in the middle at 9:30 this morning. Plus when I tried some around the edges I had trouble chocking on the flaxseeds. I think next time I will grind the seeds, and put on 2 sheets to make a thinner and therefore easier product to dehydrate.
