Hi everyone, I am so encouraged to be making this transition in my life and the life of my family, but I need a little help to start. I have not gotten my Living on live Food Book yet and could use a short list of things to buy to get started and make this go a little better for my husband and children. All help is appreciated.

thanks

HI and welcome. I am excited for you as you stand on the threshold of an amazing and transformative journey.
And welcome to the forum.

You can visit www.fromsadtoraw.com (http://www.fromsadtoraw.com) for recipes while you are waiting for your book to arrive.

A short list of staples:
Bragg's Liquid Aminos or nama shoyu
Celtic Sea Salt
Raw almond butter
Raw honey
dates
Raw walnuts ( process walnuts, raisins and carob together, roll into balls....yummy.)
sun dried raisins
cold pressed olive oil
raw apple cider vinegar
raw carob powder
lemons
salad greens and fixings ( dressing out of olive oil, lemon juice, cider vinegar and herbs)
Bananas (smoothies, ice cream, banana with almond butter spread on it)
Fruit
avacasos for guacamole
portebello mushroom caps, spread with guacamole and pour on some Braggs...yum

Best wishes to you on your raw journey! It is helpful browsing the recipe section here, as well as journals to see what people eat.

Warmly~
Carmel

Worry about getting it 100% right for yourself - and family & friends will fall into line when they see YOU healthy, happy and successful. If your family wants to transition right along with you....just concentrate on taking them to the store with you....and picking out the fruits & vegetables that THEY LOVE......and making the entire experience fun. Just keep incorporating MORE things into their diet.....and eventually they may not WANT other things - don't you think?

Thanks for the help. I have talked my husband into going shopping with me and we will take it slow and I have decided that we will elimanate a little at a time for the whole family but I will take the lead and go 100% now due to how my body feels, I am looking frwd to learning more and feeling better.

Enjoy your Day!
