I did a red cabbage roll with guacamole, alfalfa sprouts and some shredded lettuce. Very yummy.

Then a little later I made a fruit smoothie. I hadn't made this before. 2 oranges, 1 banana 1 cup frozen raspberries. Then I added a little ice after that so it would blend better. I'm not usually one for raspberries, but I decided to try them.

Also, I made Jennifer Cornbleet's flourless chocolate cake a couple nights ago. I had to ground up carob morsels because I can't get any cocoa and carob powder here. So, it didn't turn out as dark. I made a raspberry sauce but I wasn't able to get it thin enough so I just lightly spread it over the whole cake and then added some ground almonds to the top. My brother thought the colors were strange and said it looked like meatloaf. My mom said it looked like a giant hamburger with ketchup on top. lol It tasted really good, though.

I also made Alissa's apple sauce. I added a little bit more cinnamon and just a tiny bit of lemon juice to help bring some of the flavors out more. Ofcourse it didn't turn out looking like the SAD applesauce and it was darker, too. But it tasted very good and everyone here had some along with their SAD supper. I suppose I can get a picture of it, but it's nothing special. :p

It all looks good to me.

What I find funny is how folk will think some natural colors in nature look funny ~ such as a smoothy which turns brown or green, yet think nothing of Gatorade being a really strange blue which one will not likely find in nature. :p

You food looks wonderful. Thank you for sharing.

I think the food looks great!
Revell is right, people are so used to seeing fake things in food that are supposed to be natural they don't know the difference between what is real and fake. There is an interesting theory out there you can relate to many things, but I find it very relevant with food and SAD diets. It is called hyperreality: "the simulation of that which never existed." Like someone mentioned earlier the bright blue Gatorade. That is supposed to simulate berry color and flavor?!
