My name is Linda and I'm new here browsing around. I'm taking baby steps into the raw world. I was raw a few years ago (not 100%) but I sure felt alot better than I do now. Then I had to have a surgery and everything went downhill from there. I feel tired all the time and completely umm what is the word (LARGE) :D

So I hope to get some motivation from you all while I begin my journey of introducing more raw foods into my diet.

Linda

Hello Linda,
I'm a newbie too. It's great that you want to go raw. I'm sure you'll get the support you need with this board, it is very friendly here. :) I wish you the best of luck in all things, and hopefully I'll see your progress over time. :D

Welcome Linda!

I am also a newbie...day 5 of my 30 day challenge! Yes! I feel great and although I was a vegetarian, I still wasn't eating as healthy as I should have been. I have to say reading some of the journals of the people who have been raw for a while has been inspiring to me. It not only gives me a chance to see their journey, but to remember that this is not a diet, it's now a way of life. A big change, but a great one.

Being an RN, I am part of that world of surgery, pain, medications, procedures, etc. that can, as you say, make you feel like you're going downhill. But it's a matter of balance and making the connection. Once you've begun to re-introduce yourself to raw foods again, your gallbladder (and everything else) will thank you for keeping the surgeon away!!! :D

Giving you encouragement on your journey,

Aasyah
