This is my "official" 3rd raw day plus 3 unofficial days and for dinner I made the mock salmon pate. YUMMY!! My husband who was pouring on lighter fluid on the charcole grill to cook steaks. Although for quite some time if I eat beef, even just a little I still have indigestion the next morning, I was quite honestly craving steak. As I craved my husband added more lighter fluid, so much for craving. Once I made the pate he tasted it and said, "Well you could make a dinner out of this." WELL DUH!!! I explained that was what I was doing. I put it on lettace leaves. So this morning I had fruit smoothie, after work veggie soup made in Vita-mix and this. Pretty good for a coffee/chocolate addict. I use to go to Weight Watchers not so much for weight but eating help. Their book says 1 c walnuts is 21 pts. The amount of pts for me for a whole day. I guess it was okay I ate 1/2 the pate which has 2 cups in it. How does it work with the amounts you eat of these recipes? Or just eat until your full/content?

I totally agree with you on the pate. Even my SAD DH enjoyed it. he agreed that it did taste like salmon, although he was skeptical initially.

I love the pate too - so easy to make. I only use 1 cup of nuts though (all other measurements stay the same.) Otherwise, it tastes too heavy to me.

I also use half the sunflower seeds and almond butter in the Almost Tuna recipe. Does anyone else find the recipes a little heavy on the fat?

I love the Mock Salmon Pate, its wonderful as a stuffing for cherry tomatoes! DH loves those in his lunch as its fun finger-food. Our very favorite pate is the filling from Alissa's Raw Ravioli, its incredible just rolled up on a lettuce leaf or as a dip for young veggies.

The fat content is rather high in the nut dishes, but being so rich they are very satisfying in small amounts.
