Is dried coconut raw?

I keep wondering about this not knowing how manufacturer's process it.

Alissa points out on her website that many retailers offer dried coconut that is NOT raw.

Since there's no RAW symbol or other notation that is reliable on these packages, it makes it harder for all of us to determine if something is RAW. It sure would be nice if some organization could lobby to influence the printing "Not Heated above 118 (or whatever)" on certain food staples.
