Does anyone use a food sealer? I would like to be able to cut up all of my veggies on the weekend and then have them ready and as fresh as possible for my lunches and other meals during the week.
Same for stuff I am freezing, i would like to try to keep it as fresh as possible.

I have a FoodSaver vacuum sealer. I would definitely use it for freezing things, but I'm not sure about cut-up veggies in the fridge. I think veggies have to breathe to stay fresh in the fridge but maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong. For the freezer it's great though. Just make sure that if you're going to use it for anything mushy, you freeze first THEN vacuum seal because the power of the "sucking" out of the air will smush stuff. For instance, if you're going to use it for frozen banana chunks, flash freeze the chunks first on a cookie sheet or something, then when frozen stick in the food saver bag and seal, then they won't get smushed. :)
