Is it true that mellons should be eaten alone because the are digested very fast and when used with other foods it will ferment in your gut?

Further to that, watermelon can not be mixed with other melons but all others can be eaten togeather.
I understood that it is because the digestive enzymes needed to digest them are unique and will clash with other digestive enzymes.
