Hi Everyone, normally I would post this in the classified section but I wanted you all to see this…I have been speaking with a new online company (they are not new but their online store is) and I think I have found a wonderful new source for organic raw nuts and grains and other products. I think they have a lot of integrity and their products and prices sound great. If you’d like to check them out their link is

http://www.naturalgrocers.com/raw-food.html

Here is a piece of an email from the company:

We operate 22 grocery stores, so our product is always coming in and out quickly. Occasionally an oddball herb may sit around for a few months on the store shelf, but every bag is calendar dated so we and our customers know when it was received. (The Colorado Dept of Agriculture even gave us an award for our system...) We also refrigerate all of our nuts and fruits at all times, even while in the stores, to keep them fresh.

The Vitamin Cottage Natural Food Markets company is family owned and 50 years old. Perhaps the best place I could send you is our list of What We Won't Sell and Why http://www.naturalgrocers.com/whatwewontsell.html to give you a flavor for the ethics around here. /with so many ingredients excluded out stores tend to be about 1/8 the size of the conventional market and stock 15-20,000 products including vitamins, supplements, natural household supplies, and groceries. On produce, for example we only bring in 100% organic and as local as possible. Sometimes this means we are out of things, but our customers don't mind. My favorite customer quote is "thanks for letting me not have to think when I shop. I know you only sell what is good for me!"

Do you think their granola is 100% RAW? Just curious, I love granola and plan on making some of my own out of different things, but it would be easier to just buy it.

I shop at Vitamin Cottage! That's where I get my raw carob and many other obscure things. They sell in bulk and have great prices.

Yeah! I am lucky enough to be in Denver and we have them here! Great prices and items that many other stores don't carry (raw carob and cocoa butter for example)

I don't think they are, but they label everything very clearly. They will print "sundried" right on there if it is.

Their prices are great, but they make up for it with their shipping. I just ordered some raw carob at 1$something a bag (got 2 bags) and it was 2 dollars and some change but the shipping was over 8$?!!! Oh well, worth it for me since I can't get it anywhere within 100 miles where I live!
