I know I should have posted this on the recipe board but I wanted to ask you if you knew what the recipe is that Rachel made up in her journal from your book I think she called in Taco mash or something like that. I have such a hankering for tacos in the worst way. But I can't find any kind of recipe in the book that seems to fit this description. By the way I finished your book last night. Read the whole thing in 2 days. I love your style in the book and wonder if you will write another one. Hey by the way did you ever get over to the good mood food cafe in Huntington Beach? I love her spinach quiche. I wish I knew how to make it. I wondered if you knew if it was simular to your recipe. Also do you know where to get herbamere salt ingredient you list in your recipes? I can't seem to find this. Thanks have a great day.

I'd also like to know where to find the Herbamere....
Hi,
finally a thing that's easy to find in Belgium!
The herbamare salt is from Dr. A. Vogel, I buy it in the usual health food stores...
At least I think that the Herbamare that Alissa talks about is the same as I have...
I hope you'll find it somewhere near you soon!!

I have seen herbamare and trocomare in health food stores in the spice section. I don't see it in regular grocery stores.

Hi lisa,
herbamare can be found at any health food store.
There is not a recipe for taco but there is one for enchiladas. you can also let the 'shell' get hard and shape it into a taco so its not as soft as the burrito, then you can fill it with the better then beef recipe or the refried bean recipe and add guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, etc...
you can use just a cabbage leaf but its more authentic when you use a hard shell.
im sure eventually ill write another one, but i cant tell you when yet!
im glad you like it though. i havent been to good mood food, au lauc is too good so whenever im up that way i cant convince Dennis to try somewhere else, ill get to it though im sure!

I'm not sure about what the "taco mash" is, but here are a couple of taco recipes that might help you:
Alex the Raw Guru has a recipe located here: http://www.rawguru.com/html/recipes.html#tt
And here is another using eggplant that was posted by a member on the http://rawandjuicy.com message board:
Eggplant Tacos

Reply Amazing eggplant tacos Slice up an eggplant thinly into rounds. Sprinkle with sea salt. Dehydrate at 105 degrees until they can be bent over without cracking. In the meantime, whip up a couple of zucchinis, some white onion, cumin, chili pepper, sea salt or miso and about a half cup of soaked walnuts.
Now. When the eggplants have softened, stuff them with the mixture, and fold them over. Continue to dehydrate for about 12 hours- seriously, you won't know what hit you.
This I made tonight for dinner, and we loved it. It is from the FABULOUS book "The Raw Primer" by Chef Alex, who helped develop Roxannes restaurant in Marin.
She is just a shining star of a woman to begin with, and her recipies shine, as well.
Enjoy!

Thanks everyone. I ended up making Paul's pate in Alissa's book. So yummy. Even my mom ate up today with me.

That's what I made to go in my collard wraps! It is pretty good and I added some chopped veggies to the blended pate' for even more flavor. Today, I ate the wraps with tahini dressing...very good! ;)
