Yesterday I made a raw granola, not exactly from Alissa's book, but I have her recipe to thank for the inspiration - I didn't have many of the ingredients on hand, but I did have soaked Oat Groats (about 2 cups), almonds (about 1 cup), dried apricots, sesame seeds, dried apples (handfuls of each). I mixed them all together (I chopped the almonds in a food processor), put a squirt of raw honey on (date or raisin puree would work too), and dried it for about 16 hours on a teflex sheet.

This morning the family had smoothies and handfuls of this granola I made. They were filled up and actually enjoyed the meal. Now this is something I don't mind if they snack on all day! I can even make raw granola bars, and I have ideas swimming around.

That's great Ariannah. My kids turn their noses up at almost everything I offer them. My youngest even covers his mouth *smh*. The only thing he has said he liked was SamuelWilson's orange cream smoothie. My oldest doesn't like anything. I'm still working on them though. :D

boy when I get my dehydrator I'll be making that recipe. My son is the same way. He only eats fruit. But I'm sure he'd like the granola too.

Thats great! Today I introduced raw fudge balls.
Everyone was spooning it out and eating it!
They LOVED it!
