Hi,
I'm checking in. On Tuesday I had the worst toothache ever, could not sleep at all Tues night. I had the chills and felt really bad. I was so afraid that I would have to go through the holiday and weekend this way. I don't have dental insurance (in grad school) and even though I knew the tooth was sensitive, I was trying to wait it out -- bad idea!

Thank goodness I got a emergency dental appointment yesterday. I had a bad absess and needed a root canal which I had yesterday afternoon. I have never been in so much pain. I hated to have novacaine but I have to say, I was never so happy to feel that numbness! They gave me prescription for vicodin, but I didn't fill it. They also told me to take 600 ml of advil 3X day. I'm afraid to. I was in such pain Tuesday that I did take two, but they did nothing!

This just further convinces me to stay raw. It was so weird though, I had intense cravings today for scrambled eggs, which I never use to really like. What was that about? I can't eat anything crunchy or chew very much at all and I have lots of celery, apples, cucumbers, green beans, etc which I'm afraid are all going to go bad. I don't have a juicer :( , but I do have a food processor. I made some guacamole today but any ideas for the other items?

Thanks for listening!

Oh Beth, so sorry to hear about your tooth! Ouch!! I really hope you start to feel better soon. Sending you healing {hugs}!

My only advice about the food would be if you had a blender, to do soups?? You can make many creamy soups, try the Brocolli Soup that is in Alissa's book! Or make a creamy cucumber, etc. Smoothies are also good. And most pates maybe just put them on sprouts or mashed up peeled cucumber? :)

Thanks for your kind words.

That's a good idea for the vegetables about blending some soups. Somehow I didn't think of that, I was only thinking of fruit smoothies. I'll do that tomorrow.

I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

Thank you so much Carmel,
Yes, I am feeling much better today. This morning I had a frozen banana/carob smoothie which was great and will make some soup out of Alissa's book today. Things are looking up. :)
