I am so thankful for Alissa for starting this website for all of us.
I'm thankful for each of you for teaching me so much during this first year of raw. I'm grateful for the willingness to have been raw, more days than not on this first year of my journey. I'm grateful for all you have taught me. I'm grateful to know that this is a path and that I don't have to be at the end today, but simply moving along at my own pace. I'm grateful to love simplicity in food. I'm grateful to be encouraged to move my body and rejoice in my ability to exercise. I'm grateful for the inner healing that I know is happening. I'm grateful for persimmons! :)

I'm going to what most SAD eaters would consider a feast today. I'm taking a salad for 11 people. The table will be spread with so many things that I once loved to eat. For today I'll eat the salad I'm bringing and I'll take along a persimmon to eat while others are having everything else.

Will I feel deprived? No way! I'm eating the salad because I know it will nourish me and continue my healing. I'm eating salad because I'll go to bed tonight feeling light and wonderful. I know I'll wake up tomorrow morning feeling terrific. I'm doing this by choice because I choose the path of healing and self love. This is a big step for me to not silently wish I was eating like everyone else. So I guess this year has in fact taken me more steps along this path than I realized.

Wishing you all the best for a wonderful time today whether you are alone or with friends and family.

On this day that we celebrate the freedom to worship as we please, I am thankful to the brave men and women who fought for that freedom, allowing many of us to be sitting on our butts reading these boards!

My Wonderful Journal Bud Calee - I know you'll enjoy your own wonderful feast. I am thankful for you contributions to the Rawkin' 90's journal, and encouraging posts to this board as well.

I am thankful for you Revell. You have a heart of gold and a unique sense of style. Thank you for contributing and offering advice to all those nebies who ask the protein question. Thank you for sharing your 'monkey mind' with us.

Thanks to all the moderators, especially Rawkinlocs, our 'twisted' moderator who calmly and patiently bounces our butts to where they belong when we get out of line. RAwkinlocs you have a warmth and calmness about you that keeps this place so balanced.

I too am thankful for this forum, and all the members. It has been a monumental part of my journey. I am grateful to be a part of it, and grateful for the message Alissa has put her heart and soul into sharing with the world. I am thankful to be a part of sharing that message, and for all the freinds I have made here.
We are all part of a grand blessing, together.
Thank you. Have a wonderful, love-filled day of thanks friends.

Love
Carmel

I'm thankful for everyone here. The combined opinions and wisdom of everyone here, the laughter, the times when we're not so happy, and everything here is a very good mix.

I am very thankful for this site! When I joined here, August 23, I had raw food and nothing else since. I love raw food!

Thank you to Alissa who works hard to keep this site up and running.

Yes! I'm thankful that this board is here. Without it and the people here, I would have never found raw or followed my heart through this amazing journey of health and happiness. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful day! I have "chili rellenos" in the dehydrator (hey, who says you have to have thanksgiving food?!?!) for tonight and just finished a gorgeous salad. I can feast just like anyone else, but the food I'm putting in my mouth will feed my body and soul, not make me sick! :D
