View Full Version : Noasted Turkey help

Well, I made the Noasted Turkey and got it all shaped into a loaf and my dehydrator is the round kind. The loaf is too big for the dehydrator.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can dehydrate this thing?

Piers did this for me last year, and he made it into little balss and dehydrated until crisp - it was WONDERFUL!! I just loved it!

You could either do what SamuelWilson did...take some wire cutters and snip the edges to remove the mesh part and then when you stack that tray with the mesh missing on top of the others, you'll now have a deeper area. Or, you could just make the mixture into patties or fillets rather than a loaf.
I did the mock turkey loaf using a round dehydrator and I just made the loaf but it was not a tall loaf...made it flatter. If it's a large amount maybe divide it into two smaller/thinner loaves.
Here is Samuel's dehydrator pic he posted...if you look at the edges, you can see where he cut the screen out:
