Hi everyone,
I wasn't sure where to put this little announcement...I just realized that Thanksgiving was my 30th day at 100% raw!

The first and hardest month is behind me. And it wasn't that hard, all things considered. Suffering with fibromyalgia, for instance, is HARDER.

I'm so happy that I've gotten into a good groove with this way of eating and have stopped counting how many days I've been raw. Onwards!

Thank you!!! What a great support everyone is for each other--It makes the journey so much more fun to connect with you all. Karen, I wish I could say the pain is all gone. For now I'd say it's about 40%, some days 50%, better. That's okay by me after 30 days since I've been dealing with this for over 20 years (I turn 39 next week and FM came on in college, though I didn't know what it was until 2 yrs ago.) I'm so happy to hear that you're feeling well!! Thanks again everyone. December 25th is my next milestone, 2 months raw!

Great job Melissa! I noticed you said there was a reduction, but not total healing of the FM. Since you are continuing raw for the next 30 days,, would you mind posting how much progress you make in the FM during the next 30 days?

Wow, Melissa! That's great that you let a month slip by without noticing. Next thing you know, it will be a year of you being raw.

Congratulations are in order!!

Melissa - yet another thing in common: I have been diagnosed with FM also. I don't know what it is I just know how terribly bad I hurt. I can say that I am about a month now, and although I am not great I am MUCH better. I can feel the difference. I still have off days, but hey improvement is improvement!! My weight loss is not as drastic as it was to start but my clothes seem to be much looser!

Congrats - keep going - I know you are reaping the rewards each day that comes

You guys are THE BEST! It makes all the difference to know you're out there. Todd, I definitely will keep you posted about the fibromyalgia situation...hoping for great things to report over time. My main prayer is for patience! I have to just believe I can escape from this fog if I am true to the path I'm on. I'm looking forward to December 25th as my MONTH TWO ANNIVERSARY (I don't celebrate Xmas so it's neat that the date has a new significance for me!) Thanks again everyone for cheering me on. :)

Hi Melissa,
I posted my reply before I saw your note. I'm sorry to learn that you also have FM. It sounds like we're having a similar experience...I've lost about 10 pounds and then plateaued. It seems that I felt GREAT around the 3rd week and now have perhaps hit another wave of detox blahs at 5 weeks.
I really work hard to remind myself that we're still talking about number of WEEKS on program...and I've had FM symptoms for about 20 YEARS. So I'm not going to make any evaluation until my 40th birthday, next Dec. 9th (my 39th is around the corner...a good time to make a big push into wellness for the next part of my life.) We'll get there together! Maybe we FMers should start a thread ...or at least make a point to read eachother's journals. If anyone out there is interested, I emailed two researchers, asking them to start a study on fibromyalgia and raw food. Haven't heard back yet...Hmmm....
