I know of online sources for this but it's too late to try that for Thanksgiving. So....does anyone know if I can substitute maple syrup for the powder? And if so, what would be the rate of substitution?
I'm trying to make candied pumpkin seeds.
THANKS!

You can also use agave nectar if you're looking for raw. Or even dates or raisins blended with water to a smooth paste.
For the maple syrup powder you could just mix with water until it tastes like maple syrup - then just use as the recipe asks for. Just as long as you know that maple syrup products are not raw and are happy with that.
Happy eating! Sounds delicious!

I have dates and raisins on hand so I'll try that.
I know the maple powder isn't raw, but I've been doing this since June and I've learned not to freak out/stress over the little things. I'm making this for family who eat SAD, so for them it will be a great improvement.
Thanks again.
