Finally, I can post pictures. Yesterday I had a tastefest for people interesting in eating raw. Please excuse the pictures as, my husband took pictures after the table had been visited by my guest  My son, did all my garnishes, made the drinks, gravy, and the broth for the confetti rice, made from parsnips. In addition to the rice, butternut-carrot-ginger soup, carrots in a cilanto dressing, cranberry relish, beets and carrots spiralized in a marinade, wlanut/olive pate, papaya cucumber, radish salad with a lime dressing, red and green cabbage, and collard rolls tied with sweet potato and lemon strings, marinated greens, turkey rollw/gravy, redpepper-dehydrated egg plant cubes salad, spinach dip in red cabbage, pesto stuffed mushrooms, date nut torte and pecan pie in indiv. cups, and a lime and cucumber juice mix - not shown yet- :) was my rendition of apple pie, topped with ice cream. Andrew demoed nut milk and the use of the bullet. I am sorry if I missed something, but ask and I will write you back - Oh flax seed and sesame seed crackers. I am getting a camera for Christmas or sooner!

Oh Sweetlips, that is the MOST beautiful display of wonderful raw foods I have ever seen.

You are a true artist, and the garnishes look so beautiful, and all those warm festive table coverings, and leaves and fruits, it belongs in a magazine for sure.

I bet everything tasted as wonderful as it looked.

My goodness how much work you put in, I am so hoping you had help.

Again, I can't say enough, you have totally surpassed all raw expectations, with this one.

So, my only question, what is your address? I MUST come try some of that food.

YUMMMMMY!!!!

Thanks everyone, - it was really a neat experience for me. The guest Sharon were people who were interested in Raw food.

The prep time was really not that bad. On Saturday, I prepared the marinated greens, turkey roll and Alissa's amazing lasagna and the tarts. That was about 4 hours in all that night. We also washed a set-up for the next day as well. On Sunday, I prepared everything else. The flax seed crackers were made earlier as well.

Most stuff was mixed in the food procesor, the spinach dip, guacmole, pesto, confetti rice, nut pates; the blender for the marinades, salad dressings and gravy, and the spiralizer for the beets and carrots. We used a juicer for the beverages. That was about 5 to 6 hours to prepare, clean up, decorate and present.

Yes, and without my son, I would not have done as much, he is in a culinary program in high school and also plans to attend culinary arts school after graduation.

I was a different tired, I went to bed about 9:00 and snored very well, sooo while this may be TMI, I slept alone, but I was truly in concert, and this morning I was up early.

Thanks again.

Sweet Lips,

Beautiful food! OK I just have to know. On the dish with the snow peas are some rolled up looking thingies. (**stealing RP's word**) What are they? I must make some, they look soooooo good.

Wow!!! I wasn't invited?

It's okay. I understand. I live all the way out on the west coast. My private plane is in the airport garage.

What a lovely presentation you had. It has made me hungry all over again. I just ate one hour ago!

Those rolled up thingies are baby carrots in a cilantro, chili dressing. It is very good - it is thick and stuck to the carrots because we drizzled the walnut oil into the dressing.

1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp coarsley crushed cumin seeds
1 tsp chili peppers
2 tbs lemon juice
sea salt
freshly black pepper
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
11/2 tsps of agave nectar
1/4 cup walnut oil (it was really too much, so I just dropped cilantro in to sop it up)
