I have been loving red onions lately. I am not sure why. I added them to my guacamole today and my salads and my sandwiches.
Does anyone know why I would be eating so many onions lately?
When I was eating cooked food, I would never touch a raw onion.
My friend couldnt find any information on onions and eating. That is why I am asking the board.
Thank you in advance

sulfur may be the most obvious answer. Sulfur is a necessary mineral in all our connective tissues. Many "raw" advocates suggest using MSM powder supplementally as a sulfur source, but plenty of high-sulfur foods can be found - onions and garlic, asperagus, and cabbage-family plants chiefly.

onions are extremely good for the digestion.
Red ones, are the least "biting" although not considered "sweet" they are considered "mild" so enjoy them, and they are so pretty, that beautiful magenta color is one of my favorites.
I like onion with cucumber, and tomatoe and lemon juice with a splash of olive oil and a little garlic. mmmmmmmmmmmm

i love the color of red onions. i find when i put them in salads w/ other veggies, i make a "rainbow" salad (w/ red, orange, yellow, green and purple veggies in there).
