Do a lot of reading. Be prepared. You have so many options, like going 100% raw all at once, or slowing transitioning. You have to beware of detox and know what it is so that you'll know it's a good thing. You need to know if and what equipment you might need. There are many different ways of eating raw. So read, read, read.
I would start with Alissa's website: http://alissacohen.com/ Once there you can find her DVD & book which would be an ideal starting point. You may also want to visit other raw food websites to see what other options are out there. Some promote supplements, some don't use them at all. Some sprout grains, some don't. Some do a lot of juicing, and other's don't.

Great suggestions! Set small goals, with tentative time frames. Keep a journal. Go slowly. Start at the level of raw food that you ARE comfortable with now - and increase 1-5% per week.....as you are comfortable. Read a lot...network...ask plenty of questions. Change your diet slowly...and try new things. Ask yourself what you REALLY want - and set goals to get there.

Welcome Carlotta!
I agree that you should purchase Alissa's book and DVDs. I struggled with going raw for three months, then I read her book and it made it all very easy and obvious for me.
I couldn't do any "transition." I'm addicted to cooked food, and if I tried to keep even a little in my diet, I would slide very quickly into overdoing it (as in large quantities of unhealthy choices, like pizza, jalapeno poppers, stuff that's really not good for you!) So I had to go 100%.
Alissa suggests commiting to this for just 30 days. That's long enough for you to experience many of the wonderful things raw does (like healing, weight loss, more energy, etc.), without having to think that you're suddenly thrust forever into this unknown world that you don't even know if you want to commit to.
Best of luck to you! We're here whenever you have any questions or need support :)
