I never knew my refridgerator could look so beautiful inside! Today was my first day of Vegan Raw grocery shopping. I haven't even recieved my books yet, but due to all of the valuable info on this board, I had enough info to get started. I couldn't wait any longer. Therefore.... Off the the grocery store I went. I bought everything I could imaginable that I saw mentioned on this board. I've never spent so much time in a grocery store!! I read every lable, every sign to make sure it was raw... organic... and vegan. I discovered new fruits and veggies that I never knew existed or for what they were used for. I finally know what a young coconut is!!
After putting away all of my wonderful fruits and veggies in my empty fridge(removed all SAD items last night), I couldn't believe my eyes! It really was so beautiful! I had to take a picture! No more takeout boxes, ugly cartons, and ugly colors. It really was a Kodak moment. I laughed at myself. Who would ever think I would open my fridge and be amazed by the beauty? Now I get to put all that beauty into myself!! I can't wait. Tomorrow is the big start day. :D

Congratulations on the beginning of a wonderful journey! I have only been raw a bit over 5 months, but hubby and I have juiced for 2 years. I still love to look at all the fruit and veggies on the counter stacked beautifully in one of those wooden drying racks. Even when I put everything in the sink to soak first, I have to alternate my colors so it all looks like a piece of art.....then I squirt soap and run water over them, and you can't tell all the time I spent doing it :D There's just something about looking at all this wonderful, healing raw food packed full of enzymes and energy that makes me feel good inside! Hope your first day on living food makes you feel vibrant and alive ;)

I had the same experience the first time we stocked our fridge with raw items. Still do sometimes, after a Farmer's Market day especially. Enjoy the colors of your meals, too. No longer will cooking rob you of the beauty of the food. Best wishes!

I DO understand what you are talking about. About a month ago, I was looking in my kitchen and in my apartment, and it told me I was raw!! And it was beautiful!! :D I have a bunny and 5 guinea pigs, all on a all veg + hay diet, so my fridge is stacked top to bottom with greens, then my whole kitchen table has backets of fruits and vegetables too of many colors. No microwave or toaster anymore. Now I have a juicer, food processor, and blender. So if I want to eat cooked, unless its broth and steamed veggies, I have to make a run for it! ;)

You're too funny! Ya know what else is nice? My pantry is crammed full of canned goods and junk food anymore....more room to store my raw accessories!! ;)
I have never had so much food in fridge ! My friends would comeover and tease me that my fridge was alwasy empty ! That's because we lived on frozen meals, packaged junk and take-out ! I hate cooking !
It's so funny now, bursting at the seems with greens and fruit !

My aunt lives with my husband and I . She is a widow of 3 years and still having a bad time. But her 18 year old grandson came over the other day and siad you have nothing but junk food in the fridge only veggies LOL well my aunt drinks alot and keeps soda for her grandkids. I told my husband later that when he said that I thought when I open the fridg latley all I see is beer and sodas. Its amazing what different people see when they make a change. My husband and I have been 75% raw and 25% cooked since Oct. 10 and feel great. We just eat different from my aunt maybe we will rub off on her alittle.
