Hi guys and gals -
Long time no post.
Just wanted to share - one of the myriad of reasons I went raw was to avoid surgery to remove a large 2-in. benign cyst on my right ovary. It was very very painful and my doc said ovarian cysts can rupture or grow bigger and create problems. Well I have been raw for a year now (100% for the first 6 months and now 80%) since the cyst was diagnosed. I just got back from the dr. today and a followup ultrasound revealed that the cyst is GONE! I saw it with my own two eyes on the monitor. Amazing. The radiology tech said, "Wow, you have nice ovaries" (never heard that before...)
I also had my blood drawn so my ND can look at my cholesterol and mineral levels. I'm planning my first pregnancy and want to make sure all is well... wish me luck ;)
Have a great day!

I am so happy for you! About a year ago, I had surgery to remove abnormal cells on my cervix. Several thousand dollars and some trauma/discomfort later, I wish I had known about the raw food lifestyle back then. I would have tried it before going under the knife. It's not easy bucking the allopathic system, so congratulations and hats off to you! May you continue to experience radiant health and create as many beautiful babies as you desire.
What a JOY to read this!! I think it is so wise that you are so knowledgable abd nuturing with your body before you give birth. I am hoping to start "planning" for that in the next year or so. I will look forward to your journey..please keep sharing:)

Hi I am new here but was reading this wonderful story of the body healing itself. My sister found out the last of Sept. that she had breast cancer. of course they wanted to do the cut & burn. no lump just the full mast. She said no to all of this she has been on the 85% raw and 15% cooked since Oct 7th. She went in last week for a blood test and everything cam back good except she was low on protein which she is fixing now. but her cholesterol which had been 300 is now 181 on its way down My sister is not overweight. The best thing is that her cancer maker came in normal which means there are on free cancer cells floating around looking for a place to attatch to. She is alos taking glyconurtrients. But the raw food is a life saver. My husband and I have been on the raw food since Oct. 7th are are doing great.

First of all Wow, everyone, thank you so much for the congratulatory wishes!!! My parents were thrilled and surprised too - a real 'testimony' to the healing power of raw foods!
Regarding Bastyr: nope, I nixed the plans to move for personal - ok spiritual - reasons. You know when something feels right in your HEAD but you can't get your HEART around that? Yeah. Frustrating, but I had to honor that. Perhaps at a later time it will be right. As it turned out, there was some major crap going on in my family that revealed itself at the same time I was supposed to move and I realized that God needed me to stay where I am to help resolve it. And I do my best to be obedient to those promptings! :D
Some of you asked what I eat at 80% raw. Guess what, it's called "I got lazy and reasonable with myself and fell off the Raw Wagon" and I'm not going to recommend it to anyone!! I was a cooked vegan before raw, and I just went back to eating various cooked vegan things - nothing particularly healthy or even smart. In fact, my body couldn't digest it and I'd get symptoms like allergies - runny nose, stuffy sinuses, yuck. Don't do it - just stay raw :)
Happy to say though I have been totally 100% raw again for 3 days now and have no desire to 'cheat'. Mmmmm.... power...freedom... that's what it's all about. ;)
Love,
VeggieGirl

A great testimony. Congrat! You didn't choose the "traditional" route for healing and I commend you with great results for going alternative with awesome results as you shared. My friend decided to choose the surgery route and today was her surgery. She wasn't willing to check further. I admire you. I would have chosen your route too, but of course this is not the normal route for most in society. Hug yourself from me.
Yesterday, brother in law 68 y.o. called after seeing his oncologist. He went in waiting to hear the route for his failing kidneys that WERE working at 30% few months back, but yesterday 60%, no chemo/radiation recommended but come back in 5 months. He did give up red meat, still eats fish, so he has room for improvement. He knows where I stand, but I can't do it for him. I'm excited for new beginnings in his life. I suggested he bump up no animal products in his diet.

Hi Carolg,
So glad to hear the great report on your brother-in-law!!!! Maybe as he sees how he's improving with the changes he has made, maybe he'll make more. I'm happy for him and you.
BTW, Carol, how is Roger Bennett doing with his cancer?
