A friend visited me a couple of weeks ago, and I taught her about green smoothies. I shared the Ode to Green Smoothies article with her and we had green smoothies for breakfast every day (and sometimes lunch, too) while she was here. She went back home and now her daughter, sister-in-law and in-laws are making them!

Talking about green smoothies, I saw something cool on my local news channel the other day. It was a short piece on Victoria Boutenko, and she talked a bit, and prepared a green smoothie on camera. The interviewer tried it (it was mango w/ collard greens), and said it was delicious! She also talked a little about the raw food diet in general. I thought this was really great, and hope that it will inspire people to look into raw foods.

Green Smoothies are quite powerful. My brother, who's been raw for a couple years, had never had one. I kept at him to try them. After the first day, he told me he was a believer. The second day he said he was sold... and a few days after that I got an IM from him that said he was "declaring his love for green smoothies" and that he wanted to live on them and nothing else!

I am pretty much doing everything green these days... I went to Dr. Cousins and he advised me to do his phase one diet which is no sugar, no fermented stuff. He also told me not to do any nuts or seeds! Well I panicked momentarily... but I am determined to get well :) So I decided to start inventing new stuff. Well I make Chlorella into a paste and use it as I was nut butters. Yes believe it or not it is tasting great  It has been a couple of months and I am feeling great...maybe better than ever. I am starting to believe in miracles! EDIE
