I started working with my Trainer a few month before I went Raw. I am doing a 6 month Online Boot Camp in a Yahoo Group.
So I told her I couldn't follow the traditional BB diet she posted for the group ..so I was going it alone on the diet. Well to my surprise she said she would work up a diet for me 100% Raw !! I got it yesterday and it is perfect. She was a Vegan at one time and did try Raw so she was somewhat familar with it. She did her research and come up with a great diet for me ! I am estatic.
A few of the drinks :
Potassium Broth / Energy/ Digestion
1 handful of spinach
1 handful of parsley
2 stalks of celery
4-6 carrots
AAA Juice
4-6 carrots
1 apple
2 stalks of celery
½ handful of wheatgrass (if available)
½ handful of parsley
½ beet
I am just about ready for bed but I just got your private message I think we be inspirational for each other. I am so excited that your trainer has some compassion and interest in you being raw!!! I'll talk to you later :D EDIE
Check out your messages... :)

Sounds good, can you tell us more about this group? How does one join?

There are a few competitors, former competitors at the site (Figure, Bodybuilding) and we are sharing ideas PM style. I am new to Raw and will be doing a show Raw Diet...a bit scary as I have always done it the traditional high protein meat, eggs and the cooked way.
Any imput you have is welcome...questions too.

So glad I stumbled across this...I am still experimenting with pre-during foods....usually some "green juice" and a piece or two of fruit prior...nothing during and a virtual FRUIT BUFFET! after...I notice about 10 miles in (typical 12 mile run) I start running out of energy and thought I might bring along some dates? or orange wedges? but I HATE TO CARRY ANYTHING! + I am running in sub-freezing area where it's hard to get to things (with all the layers) so I suck it up and say "I think I can...only a couple miles left"...since I am running the Disney half and full marathons next week end however I am getting nervous/anxious because they offer things I don't eat....gatorade, powerbars, "gu", etc... and have oranges at about mile 18? lots of fruit at the end though....maybe a few dates in a baggy? or an enrgy "bar" of sorts....what if i blended bananas and sates then dehydrated them to like a "cookie"...think that would work? must try!
I am going to try the recipes at the start of this thread...they look great thanks!

Hey Di...what a great thing to do. I think that you should take something for later in the race. Oranges would be good due to the water/sugar...the dates are easier to transport on your person, good to use if your body can handle to sugars without crashing later. I would suggest you stick to a food your body is familar with and not introduce a new food at the race.

I just wanted to say thanks. I have tried to do things in groups before and people are so opposed to eating only vegetables or well, I might as well say opposed to eating healthy. Thanks for sharing..... I am going to try it.

I took dates along with me this a.m....they were good (the sugar doesn't really affect me/didn't this time anyway) but it was cold and they seemed dry since I was 10 miles into the run....shoulda had H20 (which I'll have in the race...but it got me thinking of tossing a few dates/raisins into my water bottle. Then I could drink the (sweet) water AND eat the HYDRATED fruits at the end...I'll try it tomorrow...It may sound gross to some but it may just hit the spot...or maybe I'll "blend it" Either way, I'll pass along how it goes!!! :p
