this just occured to me today. I am starting to lose weight and people are noticing. Most of my friends and regular aquaintances never saw me at my healthiest weight so I know as I get closer to it they'll be asking what I'm doing. What I've decided to say is that I am on "a very high nutrient diet" and then go from there, so that is why all raw, for the nutrients. That I'm doing it for health reasons and these are the results I've seen so far, etc. How can anyone argue with me then? if they do, fine, I can just say, well it's working GREAT for me!!

Sounds cool. With that response you're bound to get a follow up question because people have never heard of a high-nutrient diet. You could also say a high-enzyme diet :)

Best regards

I really like these ideas of "high-nutrient diet" and "high-enzyme diet", these will be quite useful during all the holiday parties that are starting.

That is a very good one! My current usage is "whole, unprocessed foods." Not always effective, because many people don't see cooked as "processed", and they also think "homemade" = "whole, unprocessed". So I think I'll start saying "high-nutrient" and see how that goes (if people ask). Also, among people with whom I am not so intimate, the "no thank you" when called for helps too - but that is only for when I am offered things.

I like the way that sounds...I'm going to start using that one.

That is a really good one. It is always better to give people a bigger picture about what you are eating instead of giving it a generic label.

I have a friend who is raw 15 years now, and when people comment on how beautiful his wife is and how bright eyed and well behaved his 4 children are and what do they eat, he never comes out and says "raw".

He tells them they simply eat the diet that God has provided and intended for them.

What I do is give just a small amount of info at first. “What are you doing to lose so much weight?” “I changed my diet program.” And then if they really want to know more they will ask. And I tell them just what they want to know.

People have been saying oh you're really ARE losing weight to get ready for the wedding. I see it in your face,etc.etc. What are you doing? I just say I'm eating fruits and vegetables with lots of juicing. After visiting Jubb's Longevity, I'm really psyched to go all raw.

I just tell the truth like so:
I eat raw, fresh, ripe, organic fruits, vegetables nuts and seeds.

I just started eating raw the beginning of November and usually start off by telling them the health problems I was hoping to heal (which many of my friends and relatives already know about) then tell them how fast I saw progress -- one within 3 days and the other a little over a week. They are so impressed that they can't disagree with how beneficial this is for me.

One friend commented "I don't even know what food I shouldn't be eating" (as everyone at our table finished off their chocolate mousse's) and I just told her "When you have health problems, finding out which food caused that problem is a gift!" She coulldn't argue with that.
