I have been raw for three days now, and I am VERY proud of that:) I feel so much better already! I find myself feeling healthier every morning and that feeling alone can't compare to the satisfaction I would feel after eating cooked foods.
My cousin is coming to visit me from South Africa in about 6 weeks and my goal is be MUCH healthier and MUCH thinner than I am at the moment by the time she gets here. I know I have the self discipline somewhere inside me to do this. It is now or never...
At the moment I dont have as much money as i would like to spend on food :( So my plan is to do it the simple way.
I would be very interested in trying a 3 day fast too.....any reccomendations????
I am looking forward to completing this 30 Day Challenge!!

Congrats on your 3 days. It is an accomplishment!! Keep up the great work. If I had any advice for you it would be these three things.
1. Keep it simple at first
2. Eat when you're hungry, don't when you're not
3. Drink green smoothies to get in your necessary greens such as broccoli, kale, spinach etc.
I can't help you with fasting, but I know I can with most everything else. I kept it simple my first 30 days. Real simple...and I'm still keeping it fairly simple, and I'm thriving on it.

Way to go. You are doing a great thing for yourself. You will have more energy, be clearer in your mind, calmer. Your interest in cooked food will diminish. After a couple of days you will not be interested in all that heavy, over cooked food. Keep coming to the boards for support. Knowledge is power so read what you can to educate yourself and others. Because when others start to see the changes in you they will ask questions.

Today is day 6....i was just wondering when the hardest part of this challenge was...cus yesterday and today were soooo hard for me. I think it's partly becuase its the weekend and other people love to temp me (obviously not intentionally..most of the time)
And another question, what if I do happen to slip up? can i just keep being raw after that and hopefully rectify the mistake? or does it mess up everything :confused:
I am so happy I decided to start this though!! I feel SO much better, and I have already lost a couple of pounds...my pants were practically falling off me today! I cant wait to get to a healthy weight.
And I do hope that cooked foods arent as tempting to me as they are at the moment. Most of the time I am fine...when i am alone. But I have family from south africa visiting soon and i dont know what i am going to do when we go out to restruants ....
