I found this at my health food store and tried it, and it was pretty good. It's not all dried fruits and nuts, which give me candida symptoms. It's algae, sprouted seeds and nuts, and coconut. It's not overly sweet like a candy bar, but lightly sweet and pleasant-tasting. It's tasty enough to be good, but not so wonderful that they're addicting so you want to eat six. ;) The only drawback is that they're really hard to bite into (they can be rehydrated, but I'm not sure I'd do that if I was out).
Has anyone else seen these? I'm thinking of asking dh to stuff my Christmas stocking with some of these as emergency take-out food. They have an expiration date of over a year, so I think I could stock up on a half dozen and be good for quite a while. I might try cutting one into bite-sized pieces and put them in a container if I was taking them out as travel food. I wouldn't want to chip a tooth or anything!
