View Full Version : What dreams will the Raw fairy grant you?
I thought it might be fun to find out what others here have always dreamed of doing but previously couldn't because of health and/or weight issues.
I've always thought of myself as "active" even when I was really heavy... I guess because I knew I always liked running, even when I couldn't. But one thing I've never done because I was not in good enough shape, is climbing. It doesn't have to be a real mountain, I'd be happy with a wall at a health club. I'm looking forward to having the upper body strength, and a less weighty lower body, so that I can scurry up a wall :D (Did you ever see that one girl... she learned how to climb from her pet monkey? Incredible!!!) Anyway, I figure another 40 lbs and I should be in good enough shape to tackle my dream.
What is your dream to achieve after you've met your raw goals?

What I've dreamed of being able to do.
1. Have my hair grow long, down on my shoulders.
2. Be able to wear a size 10 to 12. I wear a size 14 now.
3. Be able to have my husband say," No I will go with you, you look too good to go by yourself."
4. To be able to see myself and feel good about where I came from.
Happy to be RAW.

Great thread! Let's see...being I have yet to truly start. I want my temple to be at it's optimum. Functioning like and better then it did before I took it for granted. I want the black circles under my eyes that make me look like a little racoon to disappear. I want to drop many many poundages. And with all my wants I want to feel more at peace.
My first dream that came true was to find a man who want appreciate me for being me and want to marry me. Check that one off. Done :) I would love to run in the NYC marathon, cleanse my body temple, look awesome in my wedding dress, etc. I used to want to do things like be in a beauty pageant, etc. but that was wrong motivation.
Nice thread..
Hmm for me it would be:
1. Absolute digestive PEACE.
2. More energy and less fear to sky dive, work less hours, and say "NO" more to the things and people that drain me.
3. Clearer head to hear my Higher Power.
4. Ability to love deeper especially with my husband and to have the marriage I always dreamed about but am too scared to have??
5. Freedom from my self-absorption
6. And perkier "breasts" and less celluilte would be nice too :D

2. Wear nice jeans with a tucked in shirt and not have to worry about my over-hanging belly.
3. Walk and walk and walk - through valleys, forests and hills - effortlessly.
4. Be my target, healthy weight instead of wasting even more years "trying" to get there.
5. Feel sexy again. I think my husband would like this one too. :D

This is great. Let's see:
1) knock off an hour or two of sleep and have more fun time in my day
2) be an inspiration to my family - especially my boys
3) live even lighter on the earth than I did as a cooked vegan
4) sharper, clearer thinking to help me be more efficient and organized
5) and yep, the cellulite on the butt and thighs needs to take a hike ;)

Some things the raw fairy has already granted me, by the grace of God.
No more heartburn or acid reflux.
No more pseudoseizures
better hair and skin
a fair amount of weight loss
more energy
Some things I am looking forward to:
fitting into a beautiful dress
reaching/maintaining goal weight
feeling lighter and overall healthier.

I don't believe in fairies; but I do believe in our creator and through him and his word to eat vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds I have already:
- obtained my ideal weight
- cured the gout
- lowered cholesterol
- no more stomach cramps or indigestion
- off medications
... to name a few
I'm looking forward to:
- gaining more strength and stamina with better sleep
- less time spent thinking about raw foods and just eating them instead
- a lifelong journey of eating healthy food
- being a role model for my friends, family and others on how to be healthy
- becoming a Hallelujah Acres health minister in the Spring to share the truth
- someday running a 5 minute mile (an on-again-off-again goal for 20 years)
- continued spiritual growth
- retirement

I too believe that an Omnipotent Creator gave this perfect food to us.
I pray that I will be relieved of my high cholesterol.
Looking forward to better stamina and less desire to think about foods, just eat it for an energy source when I need it.

This is a great thread!
What I've already received from the raw fairy...
* stable weight at about 118 lbs. for over a year and a half (so far!)
* wearing size 4 jeans when I never thought I'd even make it into size 8 again
* blood pressure steady at about 110/72 instead of 135/85
* resting heart rate in the 50's instead of the 90's
* fasting blood sugar staying in the 90's instead of 120 to 180
* anxiety and panic attacks appear to gone!
* migraine headaches gone!
* skin smooth and glowing (so others tell me!)
* exercising daily for usually 2 hours and increased endurance, strength, and flexibility
What I am looking forward to happening in the near raw future...
* graceful menopause (when it finally starts... I am 47 with NO signs of it yet!)
* being healthy and active and full of energy when I have Grandchildren to play with!
* still working on huge PMS issues (extreme cramping and all that other "good" stuff)
* getting a better handle on food binge issues
Thanks everyone for your great responses! I truely believe that all our dreams that we noted here will be realized as long as we stay on the raw path.
(for the record, I didn't mean anything by "fairy" any more than what we mean when we tell our kids about the "tooth fairy." I've expressed in other threads before, I believe that God loves us and created us in His image, which is perfect, and gave us what we need to maintain that perfection. {Disclaimer: "perfect" in God's eyes... which is probably way different from what many of us expect in the way of perfection from ourselves})

I've been raw since the beginning of November and have already been fulfilling these dreams:
Bouncing out of bed without the alarm with just 6 hours of sleep for my workouts.
Asthma gone in just a little over a week.
Incontinence (from pelvic floor prolapse) gone within 3 days (still in awe with that one).
Content, full, and satisfied after I eat -- that's a new one for me!
See things in such a positive light all the time - - a necessity as a mother of many children!
Dreams yet to see fulfilled --
No allergies this coming year (my allergies go from February through July -- ugh!)
Knee pain to go away
Eyes to not be strained from reading (loved hearing that Alissa used to have this)
Cold feet and hands to go away (ditto on Alissa's experience)
Bruising easily to stop
Failing memory to improve (my memory shouldn't be this poor at age 41!)
Teeth to whiten (it wouldn't hurt :D )
My family to enjoy the raw dishes I make

i'm hoping that the raw fairy helps to cure:
severe anemia
lower leg numbness (so annoying..especially when i shave!!)
pallor
depression
obsessiveness with eating/not eating (stemming from depression/anxiety..)
energy energy energy
and when i get this energy and say goodbye to boughts of depression forever and really grab hold of this wonderful life we're offered..i want to climb a mountain! well..hike up a mountain. but "climb a mountain" sounds so much more impressive :p
already i've been granted:
nails! my nails have always broken the second any white tips would begin to show. and now? i have gorgeous long white tipped nails :D
my hair hasn't been falling out as much! i used to pull clobs out in the shower. now? only the typical few stray hairs here and there.
i see my collar bone...NOT because of under-eating but because of choosing the RIGHT things to eat :)
terrible cellulite? what terrible cellulite? it has nearly diminihsed thanks to the raw fairy!
much more restful sleep. though i have been sleeping MUCH longer than normal. i'm convinced it's my body's way of super-repairing. what better way than when i'm knocked out and in another world?
(sorry i just adore these smilies!!)
To be healthy.
Not to be judgded by the medical proffession for everything i have wrong with me is to do with my weight.
to cure a leg ulcer on an old scar.
to not think about food all the time.
to run the London marathon. or mabey the great north run.
to be able to parachute jump.
