Thank you very much for your response, Alissa and Lisa, it was very helpful.
I didn't write before about myself and information, so here it is:
I got the 3 highs: high blood pressure, high sugar level and high cholesteral lol. I'm 49 years old and i'm 60 pounds over weight, since my early twenties i've been trying to lose weight, I tryied all kinds of diets: Slim fast, Atkins you name it, none of it worked. Since starting Raw about 3 weeks ago, what I noticed was that my sinusitis has gone away and i'm glad, but the first week, it was hard for me, I had lots of headaches, no energy at all and no appetite, but I guess it was because my body wasn't used to raw. My second week was much better, I had more energy, I exercised at the gym near by and in total I lost 4 pounds. I just wanted to know if you had any suggestions to lower my 3 highs, maybe specific foods to eat or something? Again thank you very much and hope to hearing from you soon.

Hi gizel49, welcome to this board!
I am sure Alissa will answer you soon, just wanted to put in my 2 cents. From what I have learn the things you mentioned will eventually stabalize for you the longer you eat a raw diet. Just give yourself time, and I do mean months for some things. This is really more than a diet it is a life style change which takes time for most of us because we have been eating badly for many years.
Wish you tremendous success! :)

We are the same age with the same three highs - Curtis is right on point. Stay with the change and those three things will change. BS is usually the first, bp is the second and cholesterol is the last at least what I observed in me and as well as a few other folks I talk with. Exercise will be a tremendous boost.

I have not lost a lot of pounds - about 17 in 4 months because I am not always 100% raw, but I have lost an entire dress size and that for me is a large boost in my life.

I am committed to begin 12/1 and stay raw for 30 days - I also plan to journal each and everyday and exercise as well. This board is excellent for support.

I hope you check your bs frequently as to observe it, and also to let your doctor know as you go through to adjust your meds. I did found that my sugar was dropping to the 80's and as a result my body was not accustomed to that and sometimes I would feel very fatugued - so be mindful of that as to avoid thinking the lifestyle is not for you - you may just need a meds adjustment.

If you have not invested in Alissa's book - please consider it, as the testimonies are very helpful, or even go to her website and read those journals and also her husbands story - it will show you the health. :D
