my roomate cannot stop going to the restroom on raw.

My roomate is doing raw w/ me for moral support. If he wants to do it after that he will, or might go back to SAD. He says that normally he would have a bowel movement once or twice a day, now on raw he goes 6-8 & in some cases 15 he says!!!! He says it is softer than normal but not diahrrea. Any ideas for my friend?

Better out than in. Many would LOVE to detox that way than they way they are. Ummm, tell him to be sure to stay hydrated.

His bowels are probably doing some much needed cleaning out. Oftentimes we think that since we "go" once or twice daily that our "pipes" are clean when in fact, there usually is still some backed up plumbing...esp. if he was eating a SAD.

What types of raw things is he eating on a daily basis? But it happens, it won't stay this way, but it really does sound like his body is just doing some cleaning that it wasn't allowed to do on his previous diet.

I've been raw for about a month and I'm experiencing the same thing as your roomate. Not 15 times a day, but A LOT--way more than when I was eating SAD. And I know it's detox for me cause I have bad body odor and other stuff like that to go along with it. I agree with Revvell, though, better out than in =)
