Air tight bottles?

Does anyone know of any brands of air tight water bottles for juice? I want a couple to take to work for my juice, but I don't really want to use the glass ball jars because I work in a warehouse and they can easily get broken.

ide just use used plastic quart juice jugs and put a peice of saran wrap over opening before capping to tighten seal

What about a glass lined thermos? I wouldn't want to store my juice in a plastic bottle. For water I use a stainless steel bottle. But for juice I like glass. The thermos would also help keep your juice cold/cool longer than any other bottle you could use. I know they aren't cheap but they would probably be worth the investment.

Those would work if they were plastic outside. But they'd probably get broken pretty quick. Sunshine, what is the brand of these glass lined thermoses? I've never heard of them... BTW thanks everyone!

I did a quick search and it seems like the Thermos brand Arc line thermoses have a glass interior. I haven't looked for years but my dad had a couple when I was still at home that he used to take to work with him. You might also be able to find older ones at a thrift store or a yard sale during the summer.

If your going to store in plastic look for BPA free. Contigo (http://www.gocontigo.com/autospout-addison-water-bottle.html) makes nice bottles with wide mouths so you can easily put ice in to keep them cool. I have seen the plastic varieties sold in three packs at Costco for $20 or two stainless steel vacuum also for $20. I use double thermal foam carriers (http://www.amazon.com/Built-NY-Double-Thirsty-Black/dp/B000I4LNUY) for my non vacuum bottles.

Unfortunately, if robustness is an issue, then glass-lined thermos flasks will not fit the bill. I have vivid memories of broken thermos flasks from my very young days at school. One abrupt knock and they just shatter inside.

These would, relatively-speaking, be more robust than a glass-lined thermos flask. If anyone wishes to try this kind of bottle, then just buy some Grolsch lager, do what you like with the contents, and you'll be left with exactly this kind of bottle (albeit translucent green coloured, rather than absolutely clear)

To be honest, though, I don't see why anyone would prefer this kind of bottle instead of an ordinary screw-top bottle, unless one was deliberately fermenting a beverage (this was discussed in the recent sauerkraut thread).

I am trying to thnk of an alternative sugestion for storing one's daily juice. I would definitely try to find something capable of holding the juice under vacuum, but I appreciate that this might not be a practical option.
