New member here looking for some help. I was on track before I went on deployment, now that I am back I want to get back in shape. I wanted to do a cleanse to start, and then go from there eating better. Here is what I ate,

Day 1

2 apples, 4 carrots
2 apples, 1/2 cucumber, mint leaves
2 tomatoes, 1/4 cucumber, 2 celery sticks
1/2 pineapple, 2 hand full of strawberries, 2 oranges

Day 2

1/2 lemon, 2 bunch grapes, 4 celery sticks
hand full of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries
1 kiwi, 1 orange, 3 pears, 2 carrots, 1/4 cucumber
4 apples, 8 carrots
strawberries, oranges, bananas

Day 3

strawberries, oranges, bananas
1 head of lettuce, 3 pears, 1/2 cucumber, hand full of carrots, 1 kiwi
2 oranges, hand full of strawberries, 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 pineapple
hand full of wheatgrass, strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate, 2 pear
2 apples, 6 carrots, 1/2 cucumber
1/2 cucumber, 1/2 watermelon

Each line represents a meal, most are recipes from some juice books. My question is am I not eating enough greens? I don't feel like I am, but i don't have luck using Kale. During this time I don't feel like I detoxed at all. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

fruit juice is cleansing - green juice is healing.

if you want more greens then add them. use mint, basil, spinach, swiss chard, (you get the idea right?) spirulina added to pineapple juice is lovely and is very very green!!!

detox comes when it's ready to come and stays until it's done. but... up your water intake and reduce your juices and you'll detox. (water fasting is very detoxing)

a friend sent me some spirulina and I have two HUGE pineapples so I'm good to go on that. How much do you add to say 8floz?

I found out that endive is awesome! Or try other salads. I, myself, don't like cabbage very much (well, ok, I don't like it at all, but I'll try some cabbages in smoothies in the future), so salads are a good choice, too - am I right? I mean.. it's green!

I hope its ok to ask here, but whats the difference between smoothies and juices?

A smoothie is a blended beverage - pulp and all.

A juice is a drink that has had the liquid extracted or squeezed and separated from the pulp.

Mystic, add what tastes good to YOU. If you haven't used it before... begin small. A sprinkling (like salt) - taste it. If you love it, add a another sprinkle. Do this until you feel like "okay no more... this is good". Every time you consume spirulina your body craves it deeper so over time you will increase the amounts. I usually add about a tsp or so to 250ml.
