I have a manual /handcrank wheatgrass juicer and I never use it....But I do use my electric one, so IMO, it's nice to have a manual one in case your power goes out etc.
However, I have made wheatgrass juice (it's combined with a little water though) in a Magic Bullet. And I've turned sev'l people on to using a Magic Bullet who would have otherwise not been able to have fresh wheatgrass due to financial stresses.
But you have to cut the grass up with scissors into oh, 1/2 to 1 inch pieces. And never run the Magic Bullet for more than a minute or two or you'll burn it out. Then strain and you're all set.
Oh, BTW, the Magic Bullet is around $40 - $50 USD.
