Buying raw nuts?

My wife recently bought some raw almonds from http://almondsbrewerfarms.com

Unpasteurized, no processing/sorting/sizing, no pesticides or herbicides. Not certified organic but is said not to use synthetic pesticides or weed killers, using compost and chicken manure for nutrients.

Hi streetsurfer. I know there are GMO almonds out there. That might be why they do not need pesticides... better check to make sure! That worse!

I order from Azure Standard, raw & organic. They say that yes, the almonds are flash pasteurized and that will still allow them to sprout. I can attest to this as we had an almond tree growing in our compost pile :)

First off, there's no such thing as GMO almonds - there's too much misinformation out there already so lets not spread that one.
