Hello everyone! My name is Stella. I used to be 100% raw and glowy, but then I made some major life changes and my diet got all out of whack. Now I have little energy and bad skin, and I am ready to get back on track!
Here are my three main problems:

1. The first is rather embarrassing, but I got kind of addicted to sugar again. I hadn't tasted it in years, and then my mom mailed me Halloween candy and I took a bite. It's like crack, folks. And now it just feels like it's everywhere, sugary treats. Especially around the holidays! To combat this, I am going to try to just have to dilgently carry around snacks and also my water bottle. And it really is about being diligent.

2. Raw food is cold. It's so hard when you are already cold to reach for a cold salad, while you know how easy it could be to have something cooked and warm. To combat this, I'll reach for tea. Ah, tea. And also remember how warming spices can be.

3. The last reason why I fell off raw is that I am lazy. I just come up with all these excuses but that's what it really boils down to. I'm lazy and I don't wanna make a salad, don't wanna figure out my grocery shopping, don't wanna clean my juicer. I just have to get over this and act like an adult. Realize that my body is a temple and I need to
treat it as such.

So, now that I have that figured out, I'm going to make myself another cup of tea, and have an apple/pear. Raw, here I come. It's going to be slow changes now. Slow and steady. But I'm going to get on here every day, get a blog going, and slowly but surely get a hold of this thing.

Good luck on your continuation! Like you said, it's just a matter of making the right choices.

Good luck on getting back on track with raw. When you start feeling the positive effects it will help to stay on track. I love my salads even when it is cold. If you eat greens every day, you begin to crave them so you really have a built in incentive to eat them! I too use tea in the winter to satisfy my need for warm and I often slightly warm raw soups.

I feel you. I have similar issues. If I have alot of fruit early in the day I can skip sweets the rest of it. Good Luck. I have been watching alot of utube. There are many great inspiring raw people to get you motivated.

I could have written this post. Except you can add "caffeine" to the sugar part.... I'm getting back on track, though...

Dear Stella,

Wow! I can totally relate to what you wrote. The cold weather DOES make things harder. That's why support is so important. Major life changes can throw a wrench into things, too. You sound like me, perhaps a bit too perfectionistic. Let's try to take small steps and congratulate ourselves for each little effort. Soon the momentum will pick up, and after 21 days, raw salads and smoothies should become a habit. In my case, the lack of health insurance motivates me. I simply cannot afford to get breast cancer right now!
