What a strange question. Look at what wild rabbits eat - there's your answer.

s feeding hay important?
Hay is essential to a rabbit's good health, providing roughage which reduces the danger of hairballs and other blockages. Apple tree twigs also provide good roughage.

No need to be rude; there was nothing wrong with my question. I guess I should have just googled whether rabbits can survive on only vegetables or not instead of asking here.

you are so welcome. it's vital you feed your rabbit a really good diet or it'll die. i've had a few wonderful long lived rabbits in my life and they must have a constant supply of food. glad you enjoyed the link. that forum is a good one full of really good info.

I wasn't being rude, not intending to be anyway, but I don't know anyone who considers vegetables normal food for rabbits. I kept hundreds of rabbits as a child and they ate greens such as grass, dandelions etc. Some wild rose and bramble, apple twigs etc etc. Generally rabbits don't eat veg and lettuce is not good for them. Just look at rabbits in the wild and you can see what they eat.
