Make sure you slice as thin as you can get or they will be chewy.
WOW! Jicama Chips!
1 medium Jicama
2 TBS of Nutritional Yeast
2 TBS of olive Oil
2 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar
2 TBS purified water
1/2 TPS Himalayan Pink Salt
1/2 TPS Lemon Pepper
1/4-1/2 TSP Garlic
Slice Jicama in thin slices using a mandoline or food processor. The thinner they are the more chip like they are. In a bowl mix remaining ingredients and toss with Jicama slices. Dehydrate in your dehydrator at 115 degrees for 8 hours or until crispy. Enjoy alone or with your favorite raw dip!
I never thought to make a chip out of jicama! Thanks for sharing this Namaste Mama!

We can't get it over here sadly. I don't think there is anything with the same properties that we can get.

Try looking for it where mexican food products are sold, its also known as a Yam Bean, Mexican Potato and Mexican Turnip. I bet a mild turnip would be a good substitute!

Cool will give this a try. Making chips out of beets worked out well for me. Just sliced the beets as thin as possible and added nothing to it. Came out crunchy and sweet.

I love the fried beet crisps so raw ones would be a sure-fire success here :)

Cant wait to hear how you all like them. I will add you may want to cut the spices a tiny bit, I have a reduced sense of smell and taste so my flavors tend to be very bold.

Thank you for sharing, i got to try this, lol.....
I make kale chip with only Himalayan salt, lemon juice, olive oil and also nutritional yeast. Everyone seem to like my kale chip better then the one we buy.
These chips are down right awesome! They taste just like lays potato chips (I swear). I have to use the thinnest setting on my mandolin. I tried to bump up the thickness to make a chip I can dip, it did not work. They don't need to be dipped they are so darn good. If you have a 5-tray, count on a single Jicama to fill it up. I can get two in my 9-tray. Cooked fooders love them too!
