Hello all. Unfortunately, we have been in the middle of relocating so I have not had access to internet, but wanted to say hello to all of you and encourage you that you CAN do it. I have not been able to stick to anything for the past 7 years - yep, I tried it all. ....and yet here I am 7 1/2 weeks into eating raw and loving it! I know have two others in my office doing this with me and paying me to make their lunches during the week.

As of today, I have lost 29 lbs. and 23 inches and feel better than I have in a VERY long time.

I look forward to spending some time here once things get settled more for me.

That's terrific. Way to go sticking to it, even in the midst of relocating. How great to have two people in your office doing this with you. What kind of lunches are you preparing?

Hi Calee - thanks - it has been interesting with the move and all, but now that I have a dehydrator, life is much easier!

For lunches, I have just been using it as a time to introduce my co-workers to how great raw can be. Some things I have done for them are the Mock Salmon pate either rolled up in romaine or over a bed of lettuce with small tomatoes and Alissa's dressing, pesto mushrooms (YUM), carrot burgers, etc.

I have to do bit of planning in the evenings, but it's not too bad and right now not only am I helping them, but making some extra money!

Congratulations!! How did you lose 23 inches? Did you mean 2 to 3 inches around your waist
;)

Hi Fiddler - yes, I meant 23 inches.....I had my measurements taken at Curves and then had them re-measure me last week. They measure:

Bust, waist, abdomen, arms, hips and thighs

Overall, I lost a total of 23 inches - 5.75 of that was from my abdomen and 5 from my thighs.

I feel like a different person!!

That's fantastic! I go to Curves too, and it's so nice to have "witnesses" to your progress :D It's so exciting to see those measurements get smaller!

Keep up the great work! I hope you're able to hang out here now :)

Thats Fabulous news. And congrats on the weight loss ! It is interesting to note that you said you have been able to stick with eating Raw, while you could not stick to other diets. I think this is true of many of the Raw Foodies because it is not a "diet" as we think of diets like the Adkins, Weight Watches...we do not have to count or calories and do the food exchange or eliminate this or that...just eat what can be eaten Raw. :o

Thanks ya'll!! Twinee, you are absolutely right! Although even on some other diets I have tried, there are lots of things I can eat, but for me I never lost weight on them even with exercise. So, as a raw foodie, I am amazed at how I feel as well as how effortless it is to lose.

I am hoping that I will be able to be on here - we have a busy weekend coming up but after that hopefully I can start to get to know some of you.

Thanks so much for the great welcome!

Congrats! I'm very happy for you!! That is excellent news!

I'm on my day 59 at 100%, and can tell a relatively similar story. I don't use scales so I'm not sure how much I've lost. If I were to guess, it would be 40 lbs as of today....that's just a guess. What I do know that I've lost is inches in my waist. I've dropped six jeans/pants/shorts sizes from 40 to 34 and falling. I know my other inches are coming off too...from 2x size shirts to now I can fit into a size large...however, my wife won't let me buy new clothes yet :).

I'm feeling in control for the first time in a long time....probably 15 years.

I wish you well in your continued raw journey.

Tim

Alright Tim!!! I'm right with you dude. I've dropped from size 34 to size 30. I had bought a few pairs of size 31 jeans. Then, a couple weeks later finding the size 31's a bit loose so I bought some size 30's. My jean jacket that used to be snug is now loose. Way cool!!!

I'm happy to hear such positive things about Raw Food/Living Food eating. I'm heavily entertaining this as a new way of life so I'm trying to learn as much as possible. I welcome comments from everyone.

Thanks!
