View Full Version : Nut milk during a fast...

I have fasted many times before, on juices and smoothies. This time however I looked at some online delivered juice programs and they usually include a nut milk- almond milk specifically.

I was looking for a more structured program for deeper cleansing rather than just drinking what I craved, and even the deeper cleansing programs include the nut milk.

Sooooo- I'm curious if anyone has tried the addition of nut milk to their strict juice fast. I'm on day three, using these programs as a guide but making the juices myself. I have had the nut milk the last two days before bed. I see the advantage as it definitely eliminates the hungry I usually feel at that time of the day. I've always read that you should eliminate fats during a fast so this new addition is throwing me for a loop.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Fats interfere with cleansing, especially if you want a deep one. Often these companies will work with you to customize your order. If you tell them you can't do the milks (you can say you have an allergy), they should let you get juice instead. If you're looking into the ones out of your area, there are plenty that will do all juice:

whatever it takes to keep the g.i. tract clear of solids more days per year im all for

and even if when on juices / seed milks cleansings greatly slowed down i dont care
as im still burning fat deposits that are in the way of cleansing out of the way plus
working on gaining greater appetite control getting closer to eat just enough as opposed
to too much by habit

i see fasting as taking many years to master . years spent using seed milks help to get
one better at juice / water fasting , the milks like traing wheels til you get better at it
and dont need any more

and for years ive speculated about exactly how healing is a long term / habitual series of
rich raw plant liquids ??????? say like six 15 day seed milk fasts per year , obviously nothing
but good would come from it . and just how much better would six 15 day juice / water fasts per
year be ???? yes better but alot more difficult to do and nobody can say exactly how much better
as maybe keeping g.i. tract clear of solids to rest tract from having to break them down is biggest factor in healing .
next being that whatever is ingested must be raw plant / water

just my thoughts on topic anyway

To clarify, I am not actually ordering the juice from a company. I just looked at their ingredients and am following their program while making my own juices.

I feel as if the fats are slowing my cleanse down. I am soaking some seeds right now and tomorrow evening I am going to do a sprouted pumpkin seed milk instead of nuts. More vibrational, and hopefully not as heavy!!! I love the light feeling I get from fasting and as soon as I drink the nut milk I can feel my lightness disappear...

When you include nut mylks in your fast your digestion has to stay more active to deal with it. So... you end up not getting rid of your hunger like you will on straight juices (which absorb with ease and need little to no digestion) or water.

My advice is to leave them out of your regime.
