I recently started using the neti pot every day and twice a day at weekends. So far I haven't had a nosebleed of any significance and only one very short one soon after I started using it. Breathing is lovely. The air seems so clean and yummy. I just use salt in boiled, cooled down water but I wanted to recommend it to people - especially if you get allergies.

I am waiting for results of blood tests and referral to ENT for them to look at my nose. I am hoping it will be healed by the time the appointment comes through. Feeling positive :)

My husband has been rinsing his sinuses for years and it's made a world of difference! He uses something a bit more aggressive than the neti pot. He used to suffer from chronic sinus infections. He hasn't had a single one since flushing his sinuses. Really helps him during allergy season.

That would be wonderful if you could be all healed up by the appointment time!!

I ran out of time this evening so I will just have to catch up tomorrow! Once the light goes we really just want to go to bed!

mostly I think it is reducing my allergies so I am sneezing less which is a good thing.

What does he use to flush sinuses?

Hi greif ~This is what he uses. We've given them to our family members as well.

Thanks for sharing that Debbie. Looks like just the ticket to overcome the restriction of allergic rhinitus. I sometimes have stiff neck issues from calcifications and using that in the morning looks so much easier than trying to work with gravity and a pot.

You're very welcome. My husband is such a pro at using this, (he uses it in our large utility sink) that he's actually able to flush the sinus cavities above his eyes. He really has suffered with sinus and allergies. He has his own way of getting up into those upper sinuses. Guys!

I'm getting almost no nose bleeds just now. I try to use neti pot every evening and it really does make a difference. The appointment for ENT hasn't come through yet so I will be interested to see what they say when they peer up there!
