Papaya seeds?

So sadly for pain while awaiting my surgery, I must take a medicine that well.... even while eating mostly raw makes me have trouble in the toilet areas.

I've heard papaya seeds help this issue... Papayas are 7 for $1.00 here and I even have some growing on two trees in my yard.

So does anyone know if this works? Or if it's dangerous?

Whenever I open a papaya I swallow about half a dozen seeds as I read that it is good for parasites but do not know if they would cause a problem if you took more than this. They are so round and smooth that I could not see them causing a problem as undigested they should pass through smoothly but maybe not.
