i've looked everywhere and i can't seem to find raw carob. i went to 5 different grocery and health stores to no avail. i found toasted carbo but not raw. anyone know where i can find it online or in san francisco?

here's a link I like to use for nutritional information. It's very complete and I like that you can put in different measurements.

I was surprised how low cal carob is and that it's quite high in calcium. On carob they don't specify raw VS cooked, but on some other foods they do.

Yes, I used to use that link until I got (click here - living cookbook software) (http://www.livingcookbook.com/)

This living cookbook application uses the same usda database. However, the living cookbook software makes it so much easier to find/search ingredients. And, all of your menus/recipes also show the nutritional data per serving, etc...

i just found another website called naturalgrocers.com. i emailed them about their carob powder and it never gets above 110 degrees. its very cheap too! i think less than $1.50 a pound. I bought 5! :)
