I don't want to use soap even if organic. is there something I could put on a wash cloth or loofa and clean my body in the shower. I was thinking apple cider vinegar would this work?

This is not a vegan site per se but there are some recipes there and some posts made from experience.

Soap berries. A natural nut high in saponins. Saponin is a natural soap.

If it is that you are worried about having a vegan product, you can get vegan soap from LUSH (http://www.lush.com) http:www.lush.com. The store is fun, but you can also order online if you do not have a store close by.

I think acid might be harsher than a natural plant soap. Maybe not if you dilute six to one or more maybe and include a tiny bit of oil or glycerine like I do for may hair.

Some good stuff there Goergina, thanks. I saw soap nuts mentioned in the comments too. Have you ever tried those?
Have you done the lemon oil/bicarb mix yourself? Looks worth a try. Requisitioning a bag o lemons from headquarters for making this. Thanks again.

No I haven't. It all sounds intriguing. I plan to try some of the things mentioned.

Hello
I questioned why I was using soap, I have a clean lifestyle. So, why wouldn’t exfoliating and water be enough to remove dirt, dead skin and light oil.
From my own personal experience using a cactus fiber exfoliating wash cloth I got from whole foods or dry brushing (regular wash cloth on my personal areas) and water (Shower).
I feel fresh, my skin feels and look good. I use soap when I feel I need it.
I think I will try the diluted apple cider vinegar, the next I feel I need to use soap.
You can research Soapwort (Saponaria officinalis), its natural plant that contains saponins.
Hope this help
I stopped using soap on my body almost 2 years ago. I used to dry brush, but I find I get better results using the brush in the shower now. My skin is very soft.

Lush is not a safe brand. They use dyes and parabens which are harmful. Thank you though.

Thank you, I have been just dry brushing and rinsing with apple cider vinegar. I also think it may work to dry brush and then put apple cider vinegar on it and brush again.
