Well, I've spent a few hours last weekend and this weekend searching for the ultimate, sublime dip for chips. And most of the searches end up with nut-based and cashew-based ones. Trouble is that chips and dips are not all I eat at one meal and ever since I went to Hippocrates 2½ years ago and they said no to cashews - which I knew since they always landed heavy in my stomach never mind the aflatoxin issues - and stressed good food-combining, I've been on a quest for dips.

I make salsa and guac, so they're great but I've been looking for some additional dips. And I'd prefer nut-less since I often will eat bread next or other starchy foods and I'd like to keep it simple.

Has anyone found that sublime raw vegan dip yet? In the cooked food world it was sour cream and onion soup powder mix that was the easiest yet was so tasty! <g> Trying to find an easy yet delicious set of dips for chips and crudités.

Thanks!!! :throwhearts:

I quite like a raw chilli recipe I found the other day. Also there is a tomato hummus (no chick peas) recipe I want to try next week. I'll see if I can find the chilli recipe and post it for you.
