I make trays out of the bottom inch of a gallon milk jug and drill holes in the bottom. Get the tray wet, throw on enough flax seeds to cover the bottom and get the seeds wet with a spray bottle. Just mist them with your water bottle twice a day and in 4 or 5 days you will have some really tasty greens!
I'm getting ready to do a video. I will link to it when I get it up on the web.

Just a side-note:

In considering alternatives to flaxseeds, steer well clear of whole psyllium seeds. In fact, steer clear of psyllium seeds in all instances.

Have you considered chia seeds?

Why is that Arky? - not that I have ever used it. I have used chia though I'm not overly fond of it.

Could the flax seeds simply be replaced with flax meal?

I find that that always seems to work well. I don't like flax myself, 100%, but I find that the flax you grind yourself and use instead of whole flax just improves texture _and_ flavour, believe it or not. With raw foods, it's amazing isn't it, what changing the structure of a food mechancially (versus heating) will do for flavour?
