I know that in some towns they have outings where someone will take people in the woods and teach them how to forage for wild edibles. I would like to find out if my town or sorrounding towns have something like that. Where would you go or call to find out if they have something like that in your area?

Thanks

Maybe try the Dept of Natural Resources....I think in my state that's a state agency not a city one.

Here's a place with Wild foraging classes in your area (http://rawfoodhealthwatch.com/v2/foraging-classes-in-your-area/)

Basically, when you visit the page it will show Wild Foraging requests, referrals, events and available classes in your city. If there's nothing listed for your particular city, add a quick request: "Looking for wild foraging classes in this area - please 'like' and 'share' this comment to help me out."

The request will be pumped into your Facebook newsfeed and also embedded on the page for YOUR city (http://rawfoodhealthwatch.com/v2/foraging-classes-in-your-area/), viewable to the next person that comes along that might be able to help you out, or is looking for the same thing.

Good luck! Happy foraging.
