Deleting a visitor message?

I must be doing something wrong. I have deleted a "spam" visitor message over and over again but it does not go away. Could someone please tell me the correct way to do it? Thanks!

I can't see it walnutty. Either you were successful or a mod has seen your post and removed the spam.

It was a spammer... he hit many of us. You just need to hit "edit" or "delete" and it should go away.

No, it's still there. I check the "report" box. Then I go down to the bottom and under "moderation tools" I select "delete messages" and then click on "proceed". Is that what I should be doing?

It's great others can't see it, MT, but I don't want to see it either! Ü

OMG! I just tried it again...3 times in a row...and on the third time it deleted...OMG! Thanks for your help girlz!
