I have dry peeling skin on my forehead (for months now) and my doctor thinks it might be eczema. I would rather treat it myself naturally with food. Any suggestions?

Eliminate inflammatory foods especially dairy if you haven't already and wash with plan water and bare hands only. No scrubs or cleanser. Apply pure shea butter ;iberally each day. Avoid products especially those with menral oil or petroleum. Check hair product too.

Finding the cause of your eczema is mostly trial and error. Use only natural products on your skin and eliminate anything with harmful ingredients. When my eczema was at its worst, I found I could only use coconut oil. It may also be food sensitivities such as tomatoes and other nightshades; citrus; hot peppers; wheat and dairy. You may find you need to detox. Many times you could be deficient in fatty acids, zinc and selenium. If you are familiar with muscle testing, you may want to try that with the foods you buy and eat...your subconscious will know.

I hope you find the cause.

P.S. Where are you in Indiana? I live in Indianapolis.

I haven't been eating much dairy. Would eventually like to get it out of my diet completely but it's really hard to do without pizza. So I do eat that occasionally. I can't imagine not using any soap when showering, but I did get a bar from the health food store that said it's for aczema and dry sensitive skin. It's made from goats milk and oatmeal, not sure if that's gonna help or not.

I don't really know why my doctor thinks it's aczema because when I do a google image search it doesn't look like what I have. I don't have red bumps - just skin that is peeling really bad.

Yeah, I think I probably am deficient in fatty acids. So, I got some hemp seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, avocados, and olive oil. Hoperfully that will help. I have heard of muscle testing. I had a naturapathic doctor do muscle testing on me years ago. She said I had a weak heart at the time - I had trouble resisting with my right arm when she put her hand on my heart. Yeah, that would be interesting to see how they apply that to food. I think it's the same thing.

btw, I live in Bedford Laughalways

Kurt28...Eczema can look like dry & peeling skin. Muscle testing will tell you whether or not you should eat the food. You can google various methods but if you hold the food in front of you; sort of empty your mind and allow your body to move, if its okay, generally you will sway forward. If not, your body will sway backwards. You can test it by just saying yes and no. Your subconscious knows what you need and don't need.
