Hi, a friend told me the above interesting fact. I would like to learn more about foods that help the body absorb vitamins minerals. Can anyone recomment any good books? thanks, Sharon

We were taught this in biology and nutrition classes at school in the 80's. I don't know any books though sorry.

citrus with greens (that have iron) is totally essential. i was severely low in iron... it took less than 6 months for my body to totally recoup all the iron it needed from having green smoothies with citrus in them daily.

I Love Spinach blended with water then I add 1/2 cup orange juice. No wonder I feel so good after eating them.
Norman Walker has a few books about fruits and vegetables. That would be a good start. Google, Bing it so you don't have to spend any money.
