Its a Kitchen Aide. I researched it before I purchased it. I don't use a blender much so I didn't want to get a more expensive one but I wanted the best for my money. I hope this helps!

Just a suggestion, but you might want to check out craig'slist or ebay for a higher end blender first.

The ninja at walmarts for $89 is excellent.

The Oster Fusion has been an excellent blender for smoothies. It has electronically controlled speed patterns and a very well designed blade, along with a reversing motor, in order to efficiently take care of ice crushing and making frozen drinks and smoothies. Does a great job at smoothies with frozen ingredients.
I found one at Kohl's for less than fifty, iirc.

You don't need to get worry about the price of blender because there are now stores and shops that only offer cheap blender to suit for making fruit shakes or coffee.
